it's almost been a year since i started this blog. since it won't really be convenient to blog when i am in taiwan, i thought i would do my yearly retrospective a little early ...

new things that i have this coming new years that i did not have last year ...

- one pet bunny named kobe bryant.
- one guinea pig named bob who lives with his dad.
- new apartment that is not as good as the last.
- new plain fold up table used as a desk.
- black north fake jacket.
- new backpack that already needed mending.
- huge marker set.
- shiny pen set.
- love of comics.
- at least 25 new lbs of fat ... i know ... i'm gross.

old things that have not changed throughout the year ...

- awkwardness and indecision.
- fear of birds.
- intense "anal - ness" about all my work.
- i ❤ jordan.
- hammies named pumpkin and cupcake.
- fish named thurman.

a lot has happened in 2008. i don't really remember everything ... but, i will try to record some stuff ...

i did a lot of sports stuff ... me and jordan went to san antonio a lot for the ncaa final four championships even though the longhorns weren't playing. me and jordan took a day trip to san antonio to see the lakers play the spurs. that was my first basketball game and it was awesome. i went to an astros game in june ans decided that it was really boring and that i would never go back to a game ... but, then i got free tickets in august for the night before classes started so me and jordan came back to houston for the game. we made it to class the next morning a little drowsy. i went to almost all the ut football games ... except the ones that i spent tailgating and let tyler use my ticket.

i changed the names of the hammies from zuzu and petri to cupcake and pumpkin. i don't know which one changed to what but it's easier to distinguish them with their new names because one is a chunker (like her mama) and the other one is really active and athletic (like her papa).

my parents threw me a surprise party for my 20th birthday. we went laser tagging.

i got kobe in march ... my mom said that i am not allowed to have any more mammals. but then me and jordan got bob from jordan's family this past fall during the hurricane season. (i am including pictures of all the pets because they are cute and i love them all).

i got my wisdom teeth taken out. it was terrible. actually, everyone got their teeth out except aaron. first it was jennifer then it was me and then jordan.

i worked at my dad's lab again and read a ton of books. i forget the count but i am sure that you can find the final count in this blog somewhere.

me and jordan went to a lot of concerts ... we went to acl together. it was fun and hot and we walked to and from the park a lot ... almost 10 miles total. it was fun and an experience but there was so much pot and so many annoying people and not enough of the music that we like ... i don't think we will be doing acl again for a long time. we also saw weezer at the frank erwin center for really cheap. it was a really good show. it's sad seeing rivers going bald. we also saw tool but i am not sure if that was 2007 or 2008 ... um ... we also saw puddle of mudd at the final four. they are lame. it was a free concert. i cannot think of anyone else ... i don't think i missed anyone.

i was politically active for the first time ever. me and jordan campaigned for clinton but ended up voting for obama. we are very happy with the way things turned out!

oh, jordan started working as a referee just recently in the last few months. it's been really fun for him. i like going to the games but the parents of the players really piss me off. he also cut his hair almost two weeks ago. he is very handsome ... he looks different and i kind of miss the long haired boy i started dating but this new guy is not bad either ...

also this year i was offered a job to work with an autistic 18 year old but turned it down. i feel really bad turning it down but it was just too much.
