jordan is kicking my ass on the posting. not only are his posts longer and more interesting, he makes offers to his readers ... he will cook you dinner, etc. i must start winning again. so, i am offering my readers (jen and aaron only) a place to stay in austin anytime they would like. i cannot, however, offer a comfortable temperature to sleep in ... they still have not fixed the air conditioning even though at least three people in my building have complained about the heat. i am very close to going above management's head and calling the people above them with my complaint. but i have no idea who owns the complex. i know that they have three other complexes. but, you get a place to stay.

what else ... sunday is me and jordan's one year anniversary. it is impressive that we lasted so long. i suppose i should say i don't know how jordan lasted so long. in any case, we get presents. i already gave jordan his present. it was the 90s singstar disc. it is pretty great.

so kobe has been having some issues lately. after his surgery, he stopped smelling but a few weeks after the surgery, i noticed two clumps of fur near the surgery area. i was still in houston and had no help holding him down while looking at the problem area so i waited until i got to austin. so, i get to austin and i look at him briefly and couldn't locate the clumps of hair anymore and assumed that he got rid of them himself. this past weekend, me and jordan notices that there were patches of his fur that would come out easily so we started pulling it out so that he didn't lick the area and ingest the fur and get a blockage in his intestines. but as we started pulling it out, more and more started coming loose. but the only area that fur comes out of is along his spine. the fur underneath is really dark and at this point it looks terrible. i looked it up and i think it is probably just his time to shed. i took him outside for the first time in austin at the new apartment. i put him on his leash and for the first time, HE WALKED! it was pretty cut being able to actually "walk" him on a leash like a puppy. he really liked the little patch of grass that we found for him. i took that time outside to pull out some more hair and groom him.

oh i have other news. i don't think i have ever blogged about this but ... in my freshman year at ut, i got news that a girl from my high school was getting married to a guy that she had known for two weeks before he proposed. she had just gotten out of a two year relationship and the guy who proposed was the rebound guy ... i talked to her one night and told her that i thought it was a terrible mistake and so, i was not invited to the wedding. yes, there was a wedding. they got married sometime last year i think and now she is pregnant.

i heard (from facebook) yesterday that another high school friend got married. i've known this girl since 6th grade and we have always been really good friends. we lost touch in college but we see each other once a year (mostly unplanned). she got married to a guy that she had been dating since she got to ut and i think they met in church. they decided to just go to the court and get married. they are having a reception for all their friends later. i am really excited to meet her husband. i am just really surprised that she got married so soon because she was always so independent. i am really happy for her because she is not one to make such big decisions without thought.

also, today on the way to chemistry, i saw a university truck hit a parked honda and drive away. it sucked.
