jordan has "one upped" me again. he is a vicious blogger ... he blogs often and blogs about all the things that i want to blog about. all i can hope is that the readers of my blog comes here first to read about the things going on in my life (and essentially jordan's life since we are attached at the hip) before going to his blog ...

we did join the student chapter of texas exes. i know that this is entirely against the monica that most of you know ... starting freshman year, i never bought anything that was not essential from the co-op. i only bought textbooks and that's all. i did not go to football games or any other sporting event. i didn't wear burnt orange, etc. but, since i met jodan, i have done all these things. i think one of our first outings was a football game. i bought a jersey and some nike shorts at the co-op ... both of which were burnt orange. i go to volleyball games and even look forward to them because they are fun and you have a better chance of getting free stuff ... and i joined texas exes. i did it because jordan wanted to and because for $20, you get a "free" shirt, water bottle, sport schedule magnet, and access to the largest tailgate party before every home game. that means free food almost every weekend. also, the tailgate is air conditioned ... i get it where i can get it. also, i get discounts at kaplan ($100 off any prep course), o's campus cafe (10%), etc. also we get free rudy's bbq today ... that is the main reason that we joined. we saw the rudy's trailer on campus yesterday and almost followed it by foot to wherever they were serving it.

oh also, i went and interviewed for a position last sunday. before the interview, i asked my psychology professor (who i've had classes with for 2 years straight) if i could use him as a reference. he said that he would be happy to because he knew i was a good student, etc. so i go to the interview and give the people my resume and my list of references and monday afternoon, i get a call from the people and said that they called my professor and he said that he knew i was a student of his but didn't know much about me and that he could look in my files but other than that, he couldn't tell them anything ... so, obviously the job people needed another reference. what the hell?! i am a little annoyed. i mean he didn't have to agree to be my reference if he didn't want to. from now on, i am not going to appear to be listening attentively. he hates it when people type their notes. also when people are done typing the slide, he hates it when they just look down or at their computer. he always gets miffed and tells you to stop surfing the internet. he makes you take your hands off your computer and looks at your screen. then he get embarrassed when you are not doing anything but following along with him on your screen. this happened to a guy who sat next to me in psychology last year.
