i didn't go to work yesterday because jennifer was at home and i didn't have anything important to do at work that couldn't wait. we ended up going to cafe express for lunch. i had a shell pasta marinara kids meal with a fruit cup and jen also had the shell pasts kids meal but with cheese. then we went to old navy where she found the perfect gladiator shoes (way better than the $200 ones that she found online) and then we went to hobby lobby to pick up some of the materials that i need to do my project (which is coming along slowly). i got a lot of felt, some embroidery thread and some sticker maker refills. jen got this really cute unfinished make-up box with a mirror in it and some bandannas for dwight to wear.

then we went to the galleria to go shopping (i am still scared of memorial city mall). i found the wallet that i am probably going to get (and trade jordan gift cards for) and we went to the fendi store to touch the $2,000 spy purse that jen has been lusting after. it was really pretty and the craftsmanship was beautiful. i wanted to go to urban outfitters because i wanted a new purse since jen got one and i found the saddlebag one that i liked online but i couldn't make myself spend $58 on it so we tried looking for their sale purses (which they had none). so, we went to the urban outfitters at the village and we found this cute medic bag purse on sale for $30. i think that is slightly more reasonable ... if it was $10 (like jennifer's) i would like it better. i am very critical of it right now. anyway, i got it and i got these cute pink and white polka dot tweezers (that were originally $12 ... what the?!) for $1.99. jen ended up getting a new ring and some dangly earrings that really matched her new shoes.

after all that we went home so jen could get ready to go meet aaron's mom (laurie) and go back to dallas. i did her nails (go go green) and i made her try on some of my dresses that i can no longer fit in to or never wear (she took two). then my mom got back from work and we all got ready to go drop jen off at laurie's. on the way to lauie's house the new red honda got a flat and we had to pull into a whataburger and change the flat. me and jen changed it all by ourselves with my mom's supervision. the great thing was that i was wearing a dress and sandals and jen was wearing a new shirt that she couldn't get dirty and we still got it done without dirtying ourselves up. eek! yay us! jen did chip a nail but the good thing was that when she called laurie to tell her that we got a flat, they made different plans to leave in the morning.

so, we went back home and had dinner at cafe express with my parents (me and jen both got kids meals again) and then we went home where i fixed jen's nails and she played with my make-up with me. it was really fun. oh also she helped me make a survival kit for my new purse with band-aids and stuff in it.

there are bobby pins, matches, band-aids, alcohol wipes, safety pins, soap flakes for when you need to use a porta potty and there are no hand washing facilities but you do have a bottle of water, and allergy medicine.

anyway i came to work today and it sucks. i really hate work. we got here a little late (8:50 am) and i had to split four types of cells (which i am done with) and i still have to aliquot some old samples to freeze them. grr. i also still have to take samples of an infection that i did on monday. i can't wait till i go back to school.

oh i got my packages but they didn't send me my free gift. i am really mad. i had to call them and complain and the woman who answered my call was really rude and unhelpful. anyway i had to argue with them to get a voucher that i can take into the store to claim my free gift with. i thought i was very nice on the phone ... maybe i sounded mean because i was so frustrated. anyway, i LOVE the new eye shadow pallets and the benefit show off ruby doo pigment shadow. it is so pretty.

i have a test on saturday for chemistry (i probably already blogged about this a million times) as well as a chemistry lab. i'm not totally prepared for my test but i will be. so, i will see jordan on sunday and he said he would take me swimming again and to go look for jeans and that wallet. i don't know what else he has planned ...
