hi hi ... i know it has been a long time since i last blogged.

i suppose i should blog about my classes. i am taking two psychology classes, organic chemistry, physics, physics lab and texas government. i think my schedule is ok this semester. on mondays i start at 9 am and end at 2 pm. on wednesdays and fridays i start at 9 am and end at 11 am. on tuesdays and thursdays i start at 11 am and end at 5 pm but i have an hour and a half break between classes.

starting yesterday, i will have monday night meetings for pbk. last night we held a pajama party with ice cream sundaes to advertise the group. it turned out really well. we got a lot of new people but i have no idea where the old members went. if we could get both groups to show up, it would be a huge turn out. also, we have a new advisor this year and she wants to have one-on-one meetings with me on wednesdays at 1 pm starting september 10. i said that typically the advisor just attends the executive meetings with all the officers but she said that she wanted to just have a meeting with me so she knows what's going on so, now on wednesdays, i will have to go back to the apartment after my classes and then somehow force myself back to campus at 1 pm.

this weekend jordan's family came to visit. they wanted to come because his dad wanted to tailgate for the first football game. me and jordan both had tickets and tyler wanted to go to the game so basically, jordan's mom, dad and sister tailgated and we went to the game. we got a spare ticket for tyler off a scalper who was drunk and wanted us to pay $65 for the ticket. but, jordan said that he didn't have that much (which was a lie) and offered $30 for the ticket. the guy was really drunk and just let us have it for $30. we played florida atlantic ... i think. it was really hot and kind of boring because the other team sucked so bad. we ended up winning 52-10. when the game was over, we walked to where his parents were.

on the way to the tailgate area, i saw an old high school boyfriend. it was weird. i wouldn't have seen him except that he rode past me on his bike and then took a double take of me ... i wouldn't have noticed except his movements were really jerky. he looked very startled and unsettled. i don't know why ... i guess that's just the effect that i have on people. it looks like he's lost a LOT more hair.

jordan's dad saved me, jordan and tyler some burgers and sausages which were really yummy. after cleaning up, they realized that the suburban's battery ran out because they left something on. so, they got another tailgater to jump the battery. then we went back to the apartments. i went to my place to shower and then went to jordan's to play singstar. it was really fun.

on sunday i went to church with jordan. his mom came with us. it was a really good sermon and there was a missionary who came to give a talk about his work in hattie. after church, i had to meet up with tomoki and naoko who came to visit austin to see the campus. i took them all around ut and showed them the buildings, the classrooms, the gym, etc. they were really impressed that we had so much recreational things to do on campus. after, i took them to p. terry's for hamburgers. then they dropped me off at my apartments. it was really fun seeing them.

i hung around my apartment for like 15 minutes before jordan called to tell me that they wanted me to go over to his place to play singstar again. we played for a while and then went to steak and shake and then went downtown to watch nike's human race. at night, we ended up playing singstar again and jordan invited gideon over to play too. we played until around midnight and then went to take gideon back to the dorms ... we ended up driving around west campus shooting drunk people with the slingshot. then we got scared because people started recognizing us so we went to 6th street.

jordan's family left on monday and me and jordan went to the round rock outlets. i found two really cute skirts and two polo shirts at the gap for really cheap and jordan found a black thermal astros shirt.

i guess that was all we did this weekend.
