omg ok so there is this new lab technician here named ray ... it's a girl. yesterday was her first day and i do not like her. she is weird. she was born in taiwan but her parents were from china. she moved to the u.s. when she was in high school which means her english is normal and i don't think she has an accent. but, she has this voice that is too deep for a woman but not really a man's voice either. she went to the university of california san diego and then lived in houston for a while but couldn't find a job. so, she came out to galveston ... 

she still wears a baby g watch ... you know those huge chunky watches that were popular when i was in middle school. she has a terrible hair cut that makes her hair all short and stringy. she has a funny face and she just annoys me. i think she is a little googley eyed ... i can't really tell because she has thick glasses. 

also, yesterday i had to show her how to infect cells and she kept asking the same question over and over again and then say "ooooh" like she understood but then 5 minutes later, she would ask again. ugh. 

yesterday the whole lab went out for lunch at some mexican restaurant and she sat next to me. she ordered soup and then went out of her way not to slurp it. she would dip her spoon into the soup and then bring it up to her mouth but lose most of it because of her shaky hands and then open her mouth real big and put the entire spoon in. it was annoying ...
