so my studying got a little sidetracked ... the meeting this morning was not so much a meeting but a presentation about how to make a vaccine. from start to finish. it was an hour and a half long. typically the meeting is about 30 minutes long. it was boring as hell. at least i didn't fall asleep like jignesh. also, i had to do this online training for my job. it is really boring and i didn't even really read all the information ... i just answered the questions based on common sense. i am now done but i also have to split my cells and prepare a lot of plates for tomorrow and next week.
my dad is leaving for oxford on saturday and i still have to come to work. the bad thing is, i have to drive myself every morning and night. that'll suck because i can't sleep in the car like i usually do. also, i won't really have anything to do next week because my dad won't be around to give me experiment assignments. but the good thing is, i'll have time to do all my homework for chemistry.
i don't think i blogged about my last chemistry lab. it was still bad but at least the teacher was there. i had to work with these stupid asain boys who sat next to me. it was terrible and not my fault. i was the first one in the classroom and so i chose my seat. all the asains just ended up sitting next to me. i HATE that! why is it that asains seem to always want to congregate. i will try my hardest next time we have lab to not be the first one in class and instead be the one who choose who they want to sit next to. anyway, the asian guy who tried to get my number last time was in my group and it ends up that he's 28! he said he graduated high school and directly went to college and he just graduated. let's calculate that shall we? that means that he was in college for 10 years! he said his major was pre-med at u of h ... so my question is, why is he in an intro to chemistry class? he said that he didn't realize that he needed the class to go to medical school. the problem now, as i see it is that he can't have taken organic chemistry if he didn't have intro to chemistry so ... what exactly did he do in his major? he is an idiot and thinks he knows everything and he is always trying to correct me even when i am right ... which is always because i study a lot for this chemistry class. anyway, everyone in my class goes to hcc or u of h for college. also, before we even started lab, i was watching my professor preparing chemicals for the experiment and she contaminated everything even before we started. our experiment obviously did not work. what a waste of time. on a positive note, some white guy asked me to explain the homework questions to him because he said that i "seemed to know what i was doing." it was nice the he noticed because i am usually so stupid about chemistry.
i really hope i do well on my test on saturday. i should start studying but i can't because i like to be done with all my lab work before starting my personal studies and i can't do my lab work because everyone is using the machines that i need. blarg.
