i had a lunchable for lunch today. it was a strange experience.

when i was little, my favorite lunches were when my mom had time to prepare lunch for me to take to school. i typically ate food from the cafeteria. anyway, out of the lunches that my mom prepared, i loved the tuna sandwiches with tiny bits of celery in it. with the sandwich i would get 14 pieces of pringles which was the recommended amount for one serving and my mom would count the slices. i would also get (if i was lucky) a fruit roll-up or a fruit by the foot, a plum and a capri-sun. it was my favorite. still is my favorite.

the only other lunch that my mom ever packed for me was lunchables, a plum, and a capri-sun. obviously far inferior to the previous lunch.

oh, also when i was little and in preschool, my dad used to pack my lunches but all he did was take me to the mcdonald's drive thru in the morning and but two breakfast biscuits ... one for me to eat as breakfast and one for lunch. he did, however, put it into my 101 dalmatian's lunch box.

anyway, i had a pizza lunchable for lunch today at work which was weird because i rarely had them as a child and now i am 20 and eating the meal of a 6 year old ... the pizza was not terrible tasting. i suppose it's kind of like when i was in third grade and wanted to eat baby food just to see how it tasted. i suppose my taste buds have out grown lunchables like they did with baby food.

needless to say, i am still hungry.
