WEEKEND UPDATE

So I went to Dallas this weekend to hang out with Jen and Aaron. I brought the new kitty I have acquired and she was adored by all!

I saw Star Trek in theaters with Jen and Aaron. It was the first movie I've seen in a really long time. The theater was awesome. It had tons on plush couches and even had matching blankets. The movie was awesome and it is definitely going on my Christmas DVD wish list!!

We also went to the Scarborough Renaissance Fair. It was really fun.

Today I woke up early to feed the kitty and then went to the UT library to try and find a prep book for my teacher test on the 6th but they didn't have any. So, I checked out some leisure books. Then I went to Half Priced Books to look for the manual ... they didn't have anything. So I had to go out to the Borders who didn't have nothing. So i went to Hobby Lobby and Target ... I got some new flip flops, nail polish, and a cheap doggy bed for the kitty ...

Anyway, I ended up getting the book off Amazon for about $45 ... I had a free trial of some upgrade on Amazon.com that would have the book shipped to me by friday for only $3.99 ... I hope it gets here on time. Also I hope I remember to cancel the trial before the month is up!!

I am going to start to "Books I've Read This Summer" list again ... here it is.

- Death Note 1 by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata
- Death Note 2 by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata
- Death Note 3 by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata
- Death Note 4 by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata
- Death Note 5 by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata

I know these are mangas but they are book length so I am counting them.

so ...

i went to dallas this weekend to dog sit for jen's dwight. he was really well behaved and watched some of the olympic games with me. my mom also went to dallas because i didn't want to drive all the way out there by myself.

we got there on friday night at 12:30 am (so i suppose saturday morning) and aaron was watching semipro on dvd ... we watched a little more after letting kobe run around outside and setting him up in the animal room. then aaron and jen were hungry and we went to the burger king drive-thru for some snacks. then we watched some more tv and then we all went to get ready for bed. i slept upstairs and my mom slept downstairs with dwight. me, jen and aaron ended up staying up until 5:30 am talking and the next day i was woken up at 9 am by a call from my dad and then woken up again by my mom ringing the doorbell to get back in the house. i finally decided to get up at 10 am by jordan calling to tell me that bernie mac died. i stayed up for about 30 minutes then fell asleep on the couch again. when everyone got up, we all got showered and ready to go out to eat. we ate at cafe express and then went to ulta to try and use up all my bonus points. it took like an hour to use 6 points and when we went to check out, the cashier was surprised that we wanted to spend our points on store brand items. she made us feel bad about making bad makeup decisions that we ended up getting a palette for jen for $4 and then telling her we would consider something else at another time. so we still have 6 points. i have decided to get my haircut at ulta to use the points. i can get a free cut and style for free and i really do need a hair cut ... it is $40 if you get it done by a designer and $50 if you get it done by a master ... i suppose the points will only get me a designer.

after ulta, we all went home so that jen and aaron could get to their hotel and then i spent the rest of the night reading a book, cuddling with dwight, and watching the olympics.

jen and aaron came home sunday afternoon and we went to chipotle for lunch and then went to north park mall ... i didn't get anything but i found a new store (actually not new but i'm always too scared to go in by myself) that i love ... ANTHROPOLOGIE! it is really cute and rustic. most of their displays incorporate real stuff like ivy in mason jars of water, sacks of potatoes, etc. i saw this really cute tea pot that is tiny (smaller than a baseball) that was in the shape of a tomato. they also had ones that were lemons and ones that were limes. it rested on this cute little leaf platter. it was $16 and my mom wouldn't get it for me which means i will have to get it in austin. everything in the store is so expensive and i went online to look at the sales and it's still like $78 for a lot of the clothes and accessories.

after that we started loading up the car and then we drove back to houston. we got home at around 10 pm and i went to sleep after talking to jordan.
